Marius Müller (born July 12, 1993 in Heppenheim ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He is under contract with FC Luzern and is a former young international player.

Career

Müller started playing football in the youth of TV 1883 Lampertheim and joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2003 . There he was appointed to the professional squad as the third goalkeeper behind Tobias Sippel and David Hohs for the second division season 2012/13 , but was only used in the second team in the Regionalliga Südwest .

On May 11, 2014 (34th matchday) he made his professional debut in the away game against Fortuna Düsseldorf over the full 90 minutes of play. In the following season he represented Tobias Sippel several times and became the goalkeeper after his departure for the 2015/16 season. His contract with the FCK ran until 2017.

For the 2016/17 season , Müller moved to Bundesliga promoted RB Leipzig . He received a contract that runs until 2019. There he could not prevail against Péter Gulácsi and Fabio Coltorti and plays for the second team in the regional league.

In July 2017, Müller returned to 1. FC Kaiserslautern on loan until June 30, 2018 and played 32 of 34 second division games; in the end he rose with the Palatinate as bottom of the table in the 3rd league .

In August 2018, the goalkeeper completed his only professional appearance for the Saxons when he was between the posts in the Europa League qualifier against BK Häcken .

His contract in Leipzig was valid until 2021, but was terminated in summer 2019 in favor of a move to the Swiss Super League for FC Luzern . Müller received a three-year contract there.

National team

Müller played three international matches for the German U20 national team between 2013 and 2014 .
