David Hohs (born March 16, 1988 in Leverkusen ) is a German football goalkeeper . His father Hans was also a professional soccer player.

Career

Hohs grew up in Cologne, is 1.85 m tall and weighs 78 kg. He played for 13 years at Bayer 04 Leverkusen and won in 2007 the German Championship U-19 juniors .

At Bayer Leverkusen he saw no opportunities to further improve and later play in the professional division, as Leverkusen had three young, very good goalkeepers in René Adler , Benedikt Fernandez and Erik Domaschke . For the 2007/08 season he first moved to the league team of Alemannia Aachen . When Kristian Nicht moved to Norway during the winter break, Hohs was appointed to the professional squad, but continued to play in the top division. On September 13th, 2009, he came to his first appearance in the second division of the German Bundesliga , replacing the sick Aachen goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann . Under the coach at the time, Peter Hyballa , he became the goalkeeper at Alemannia in the 2010/11 second division.

In the summer break of 2012, Hohs moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he signed a three-year contract. At Kaiserslautern, Hohs had no chance of regular playing time or even a regular place in goal. With regular goalkeeper Tobias Sippel and talent Marius Müller, the Lauterer Tor was well occupied. Both parties agreed on a move to the third division relegated 1. FC Saarbrücken. After his contract was not renewed in summer 2016, Hohs is currently without a club.

Since summer 2016, Hohs has been under contract in the Landesliga Mittelrhein (6th division) at SC Germania Erftstadt-Lechenich. He is also used in the 2nd team, which plays in the district league A. Here he prefers to play as a striker.
