The SC Germania Erftstadt-Lechenich is a German football club from Erftstadt , whose 1st team played in the fifth-class Middle Rhine League from 2012 to 2015 . The Hennes Weißweiler Sportpark stadium in the Lechenich district holds 1,500 spectators and has been equipped with an artificial turf pitch since 2011. In 2019, the square will get a grandstand, which means that there will be 500 seats.

In 2012, FC Erftstadt lost 3-0 in the final of the Bitburger Cup in Bonn against FC Hennef 05 . On July 1, 2012, the state division FC Erftstadt , which had been promoted to the Middle Rhine League, merged with the SC Germania Lechenich club to form the new SC Germania Erftstadt-Lechenich club .
