Kristian Not (born April 3, 1982 in Jena ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Career

Europe

Not played for his youth club FC Carl Zeiss Jena until 2002. From there he moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers and in 2003 to 1. FC Nürnberg . From 2004 to 2007 Nicht was a member of Alemannia Aachen , where he was able to replace Stephan Straub as a regular goalkeeper after he had been out for a long time due to an ankle injury suffered shortly before the end of the 2004/05 season .

In the promotion year 2006 he was the number 1 of the Alemannia and also went as the first goalkeeper in the first division season 2006/07 . But after not making some unfortunate, serious mistakes, he was ousted again by his predecessor Stephan Straub. Only after an injury to Straub did he take the place between the posts again. When Not in the season's final spurt also fell ill, the original number 3 Marcus Hesse was used in the last two games of the season , but he could no longer save relegation.

In the second division season 2007/08 he was nominal number one due to the injury of Stephan Straub, but did not know how to convince and fell again due to some serious mistakes. After Stephan Straub's recovery, Nicht was relegated to number three and was not even in the 18-man squad for league and cup games.

Kristian Nicht played his last game for Alemannia Aachen on December 14, 2007 against Koblenz . In the 42nd minute he was substituted on for Matthias Lehmann , as keeper Thorsten Stuckmann saw the red card for a foul in the penalty area. The subsequent penalty could not parry. After this game he announced that he would be joining Norwegian club Viking Stavanger during the winter break .

In July 2009 he signed a contract with Karlsruher SC , dated June 30, 2012 , which was terminated prematurely in June 2011. After that he was without a club.

North America

On March 7, 2012 not signed a contract with the US club Rochester Rhinos , with whom he played in the third division, the USL Professional Division , in the 2012 season. There he replaced the goalkeeper Neal Kitson who had migrated to the English fourth division club Northampton Town .

At the beginning of September 2012 he was named “Goalkeeper of the Year” in the USL Professional Division.

On October 1, 2013 Kristian did not move to the Indy Eleven in the North American Soccer League . He was signed as the first player in the newly founded franchise.

After one season, Nicht was awarded to Montreal Impact as a substitute goalkeeper for the CONCACAF Champions League season 2014/15 in February 2015 . The background was that Eric Kronberg was not eligible for the Champions League because he had already competed with Sporting Kansas City . In April 2015, Impact announced that it would not commit permanently. On 29 April 2015, it is played by the suspension of Evan Bush in the final leg of their Champions League before about 61,000 spectators against Club America ; Montreal lost the game 2-4. Despite the statement by Montreal Impact that it would not sign permanently, the club announced on May 4, 2015, less than a week after his move, that Nicht had left Montreal in order not to act as the club's third or fourth goalkeeper.

On May 12th, 2015, Nicht signed a new contract with Indy Eleven and was returning to his old place of work after a short time. There he was set as a regular goalkeeper. His contract expired at the end of November and was not renewed.

In February 2016 Kristian Non joined Minnesota United , where he competes with Sammy Ndjock for the regular place in goal.
