The FC Le Mont (short FC Le Mont ) is an in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne beheimateter Football Club, in the fourth league play. The club became known through its participation in the Challenge League from 2009-2010 and 2013-2017.

history

For a long time, FC Le Mont was a regionally known amateur club.

After relegation to the 3rd division in 2000, he was promoted back to the 2nd division in 2003 . In 2007 the team rose to the 2nd interregional league and in the following year to the 1st league . In the first league season 2008/09 , he was promoted to the Challenge League . A year later, at the end of the 2009/10 season , FC Le Mont rose again.

In the 2013/14 season , FC Le Mont rose again to the Challenge League.

In 2017 it was decided not to appeal against the first-instance non-award of the Challenge League license, whereupon the club was forcibly relegated. In the 2017/18 season you will compete in the 4th division , where the second team had previously played.

Stadion

The home stadium of Le Mont-sur-Lausanne is the Terrain du Châtaignier . Since this place was not approved for games in the Challenge League, the home games of the 1st team had to be played in a different stadium. During the first season in the Challenge League they played at Lausanne's Stade Olympique de la Pontaise , after the second promotion in 2014, because the Pontaise was too expensive, they decided to move to Baulmes in the Stade Sous-Ville .
