Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Comercial (short: SENAC, dt. "National Training Service for Commercial Studies") is a private, nationally active Brazilian public law institution.

Founded in 1946, SENAC is funded by the major Brazilian service companies and offers vocational courses in the service and medical professions.

The Brazilian service companies have to pay 1% of the wages they pay to SENAC in order to finance its vocational training centers. The same applies to the Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural (SENAR), which is responsible for vocational training in the agricultural sector, and the Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI), where commercial training takes place in industrial professions.

In 2017, 1,965,913 trainees attended a course at SENAC, where they were taught by 25,197 lecturers.

There are numerous offers for distance learning .
