Carsten Rüger

Carsten Rüger (born February 23, 1971 in Krefeld ) is a German reporter and news anchor for ZDF .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1990, Rüger studied political science , German and English at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn , the Sorbonne in Paris and Perugia in Italy at the Fichte-Gymnasium Krefeld and military service . After completing his master's degree at Trinity Hall in Cambridge , he worked as a freelancer for various daily newspapers and local radio stations as well as for the ZDF studio in London . After further work at Deutsche Welle TV in Bonn and a traineeship at ZDF, Carsten Rüger became an editor at Frontal in 1998 . Since broadcasting in 2001 he was a member of ZDF.reporter and ZDF.reportage . In April and May 2005 he worked for papal reporting and as a studio representative for four weeks in the ZDF studio in Rome .
