Luanda is a province in Angola with an area of ​​2,417.78 km² and a population of 8,247,688 people (2019 estimate). The 2014 census showed 6,945,386 inhabitants. Luanda is the capital of the province of the same name and also the capital of Angola . The Quiçama National Park, with an area of ​​around 10,000 km², is located in the province of Luanda .

The province is made up of seven districts ( Municípios ):

Until the administrative reorganization in 2011, the districts of Ingombota , Maianga , Rangel , Samba and Sambizanga also belonged to the province. The districts were then dissolved and incorporated as communities (Comunas) into the newly created Luanda district. The two districts Ícolo e Bengo and Quiçama, however, belonged to the province of Bengo until 2011 .
