Carapicuíba is one of the most populous communities and one of the smallest cities in the Brazilian state of São Paulo . In 2018, 398,611 people lived in Carapicuiba on 35 km²; that means a density of 11,390 inhabitants / km². Until 1964, the city was part of the northwestern city of Barueri , from which it made itself independent.
