Lexington Bridge (LXB for short) was a five-piece British-Dutch-American pop band .

Band history

Lexington Bridge was put together in mid-2006 as a boy band with singing and dancing from different countries or was cast by band member Dax O'Callaghan. They owe their name to Lexington Avenue in New York City . On the other hand, Bridge alludes to the different nationalities of the members. Musically, the five singers used elements from contemporary R&B , hip-hop and pop . They became known in spring 2007 with their debut single Kick Back .

On October 12, 2007, the second single Real Man came out in collaboration with the American rapper Snoop Dogg and on November 23, 2007 the album The Vibe .

Lexington Bridge were particularly successful on the European continent. In Germany they gained particular fame when they played as special guests on the Temptation Tour of Monrose . But they were also able to place themselves in the charts in countries like Poland (top 5) and Bulgaria.

In early 2008, band member Nye was diagnosed with bulimia , so he took a break from the band until early June. In the summer he returned to the band healthy after a stay in the clinic. This was followed by a Europe-wide campaign for the young fashion company New Yorker . Lexington Bridge was used as a model for the Fall 2008 campaign and for several months it graced advertisements and posters across Europe.

On October 24, 2008, the third single Dance With Me (in the Gold Edition) was released and entered the German charts at number 20. The single also contains the Charity Foundation Remix of Go On and Go and a Rock TES version of this song, because this song was originally intended as a single, but was prevented by Nye's illness.

Lexington Bridge separated in the summer of 2010. The individual band members decided to go their own way. Dax got married and the others try their hand at solo careers.
