history
The club, founded in 1969, played until independence in 2006 in the second-rate Prva Crnogorska Liga , which was continued as the top division after the separation from Serbia. Since then, the club has played in the first division of Montenegro. In the 2008/09 season, OFK Petrovac won the Montenegrin Cup with a 1-0 win after extra time against FK Lovćen Cetinje , which qualified them for the second round of Europa League qualification .
