The Primera División 2012/13 (officially Liga BBVA ) was the 82nd season of the highest Spanish football league . It started on August 18, 2012 and ended on June 1, 2013.
On matchday 5, the match between Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid had to be canceled because strangers had cut several power cables. The scheduled game was canceled 30 minutes after the scheduled kick-off time because the stadium could not be adequately lit. The entrances to the stadium were therefore not opened. The meeting was therefore postponed to September 24, 2012.
Before the season
- The 32-time champions Real Madrid started the race as defending champions . Last year's runner-up was FC Barcelona .
