Álvaro Negredo Sánchez (born August 20, 1985 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player . He is under contract with al-Nasr SC and is moving to FC Cádiz for the 2020/21 season .

Player career

Álvaro Negredo started his career as a footballer with third division club Rayo Vallecano , for whose youth he already played. In the 2003/04 season he moved up to the B team. As in 15 games he scored 14 goals in 2004/05, he was first appointed to the first team, which in the third-rate then Segunda División B played. Negredo scored a goal in the first twelve games and was then signed by second division Real Madrid Castilla , the B-Team of Spanish record champions Real Madrid . He scored four goals in the 2005/06 season . In the 2006/07 season he made his breakthrough with 18 goals this season, but the B-team of the "Royal" was relegated.

In the summer of 2007 Negredo was committed by the first division promoted UD Almería . Real Madrid secured a buyback option for the striker. Negredo was able to convince the Andalusians straight away. Of all things, Negredo scored against his ex-club in Almeria's 2-0 home win on February 2, 2008. Real Madrid made use of the buyback option in summer 2009, but transferred Negredo to Sevilla FC for 15 million euros before the start of the season . At Sevilla, Negredo developed into one of the best strikers in the league over the next four years and became a national player. In total, he played 139 first division games for Seville and scored 70 goals.

For the 2013/14 season , Negredo moved to Manchester City in the Premier League for 25 million euros . With Sergio Agüero, the Spaniard forms one of the most dangerous strikers in the Premier League.

On September 1, 2014 Negredo moved to Valencia CF on loan with an option to buy . After 30 league games in which Negredo scored five goals, he was signed for the 2015/16 season. He was loaned to Middlesbrough FC for the 2016/17 season.

For the 2017/18 season he was signed by the reigning Turkish champion Beşiktaş Istanbul as the successor to the emigrated Mario Gómez . After his move, however, he could not prevail against Cenk Tosun and was used as a supplementary player. With his club he missed the title defense in the Turkish league, but reached the last sixteen of the Champions League with her . However, since the club missed participation in the Champions League with 4th place in the table in the 2017/18 season and thus had to make do with less income in the 2018/19 season, the club's management decided to reduce its budget. As a result, she also suggested a move to Negredo, who was one of the top earners in the squad. So he was not involved in the preparations for the season. But after no change had come about at the start of the season and Beşiktaş was able to replace the strikers who had migrated, Talisca and Cenk Tosun, Negredo was added to the squad and used by the coach. He achieved participation in the Europa League with a goal in stoppage time in the game against LASK Beşiktaş .

In mid-September 2018, he moved to al-Nasr SC . He left the club again in mid-January 2019.

National team

Negredo made his debut in the Spanish senior team on October 10, 2009 as part of the 2010 World Cup qualification in Armenia . In his second appearance on October 14, 2009, he scored his first two goals for his home country against Bosnia and Herzegovina .
