Roberto Soldado Rillo (born May 27, 1985 in Valencia ) is a Spanish football player .
Career
societies
The center forward came to Real Madrid in 2000 and played there successfully in various junior categories. In the 2005/06 season he played for the second team of the Madrilenians, Real Madrid Castilla , in the second Spanish division and played his first games for the professional team in parallel. He demonstrated his scoring danger both in the second division, in which he fought for the top scorer's crown until the last match day, and in his games for the first team, for which he scored in both the Primera División and the Champions League .
In the 2006/07 season he was awarded to the Spanish first division club CA Osasuna . After the season, however, he returned to Real Madrid . After a season in which he was rarely used, Soldado moved to Getafe FC in the summer of 2008 . The transfer fee was four million euros. Real Madrid secured a buyback right, which was not used subsequently.
For the 2010/11 season , Soldado moved to his native city of Valencia for a transfer fee of around ten million euros . Soldado returned to Spain on August 14, 2015 , where he signed a three-year contract with Villarreal . At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament and dropped out of the first half of the season.
National team
Roberto Soldado won the 2004 U-19 European Championship with Spain . On June 2, 2007 he made his debut for Spain's senior team against Latvia. Recalled for the national team for the first time in almost five years, Soldado scored his first three international goals in a friendly against Venezuela on February 29, 2012 . Despite the injury-related loss of David Villa , he was surprisingly not called into the Spanish squad for the European Championship 2012 . Instead, Álvaro Negredo was nominated.
