The Prva Makedonska Liga 2001/02 was the tenth season of the highest football league in North Macedonia . The season began on August 12, 2001 and ended on May 29, 2002. The defending champion was FK Sloga Jugomagnat Skopje . Vardar Skopje became champion for the fourth time .

mode

The league was reduced to twelve clubs. In contrast to previous seasons, the season was carried out in a two-stage format. Each team competed against each other twice in regular time; once at home and once away. After this phase, the six best teams qualified for the championship round, the bottom six played two relegated teams in the relegation round.
