Premier League 2000/01

The Scottish Premier League was played for the fourth time in 2001/02 . It was also the 105th edition of the highest soccer division within the Scottish Football League in which the Scottish champions were determined. In the 2001/02 season, 12 clubs competed against each other in a total of 38 matchdays. Each team played once at home and away against every other team in the first round. After that, the league was divided into two halves, in which the teams play against each other again. In the event of a tie, the goal difference counted .

Celtic Glasgow won the Scottish Championship for the 38th time in the club's history. The Bhoys qualified as champions for the 2002/03 Champions League season . The Cup Winners Glasgow Rangers , and the third- and fourth-placed FC Livingston and Aberdeen FC qualified for the UEFA Cup . The FC St. Johnstone rose at the end of the season in the First Division . With 29 goals, Henrik Larsson of Celtic Glasgow was the top scorer.
