Thomas "Tommy" Boyd (born November 24, 1965 in Glasgow ) is a former Scottish football player .
The defender took over as Scottish national team at the European Championship in 1992 , Euro 1996 and the 1998 World Cup in part in France. Tommy Boyd scored an own goal in the preliminary round match against Brazil at the 98 World Cup , which led to the Brazilians winning 2-1.
Boyd has made a total of 72 caps for Scotland.
He has not been active since 2003.
