Premijer Liga 2000/01

The Premijer Liga 2001/02 , which is also called BHT Premijer Liga according to a sponsorship agreement , was the second season of the highest Bosnian-Herzegovinian league in men's football . It started on August 5, 2001 and ended on May 25, 2002.

Defending champion FK Željezničar Sarajevo was again champion in the league, which was reduced from 22 to 16 teams, with 62 points.

The FK Olimpik Sarajevo , NK Troglav Livno , HNK Grude and NK Iskra Bugojno rose to the season 2002/03 in the first division FBiH and were replaced by two promoted from the first division FBiH and six from the first division RS .

The 16 teams competed against each other in a total of 30 rounds. Each team played once at home and once away against each of the fifteen other teams. The last four clubs were relegated to the second highest division, the first division. For the 2002/03 season , the number of teams was increased from 16 to 20 again.
