The 2001/02 season was the 46th season of the Eredivisie , the highest Dutch football league. Champion was Ajax Amsterdam for the 28th time . FC Den Bosch , Sparta Rotterdam and Fortuna Sittard had to relegate .
In the relegation, RBC Roosendaal and Excelsior Rotterdam prevailed, thus playing in the Eredivisie 2002/03 . Both made it to the ascent.
