The Meistriliiga 2002 was the 12th season of the highest Estonian football division of men. The season started on March 30, 2002 and ended on November 3, 2002.

The FC Flora Tallinn was able to defend its title from the previous season, and played as the reigning Estonian champions in the following 2003/04 Champions League season . Three of the eight clubs, the Levadias of Maardu , Pärnu and Tallinn , belonged to the Ukrainian Viktor Levada.

The FC Lootus Kohtla-Jarve went at the end of the season in the relegation against FC Kuressaare , which had the 2nd place is in the Esiliiga of 2002. The Levadia team from Pärnu, the FC Levadia Pärnu , had to relegate to the second class Esiliiga as a promoted team .
