The Estonian football championship was played for the 21st time in 1943 as the highest Estonian football division for men. It was the second championship under German occupation in World War II. In the 1943 season, 6 clubs competed against each other in a total of 30 games. Each team played once at home and away against every other team. JS Estonia Tallinn won the Estonian Championship for the 6th time. When the Red Army entered Estonia in autumn 1944, the following 1944 season was canceled and not counted. All Estonian associations were subsequently dissolved or completely reorganized after the incorporation into the Soviet Union. These were then incorporated into the new Soviet league system, which existed from 1945 to 1991.
