Martin Jensen (born September 8, 1909 in Mõisaküla , Estonia Governorate , † August 8, 1992 in Toronto , Canada ) was an Estonian football player and coach.

Career

Martin Jensen attended the vocational school in Pärnu . He also played football for JK Pärnu Tervis . From 1934 Jensen played in Tallinn for the local JS Estonia . With a brief hiatus in 1941 when the striker was hunting for goals for Dünamo Tallinn , he was with JS Estonia until 1943 . With JS Estonia he won six Estonian football championships in 1934 , 1935 , 1936 , 1938 , 1939 and 1943 .

From 1934 to 1938 Jensen completed 6 international matches for the Estonian national team . In August 1934 he made his debut in the international match against Finland in the Kadrioru stadium in Tallinn.

Later years

Martin Jensen emigrated to Sweden during World War II before moving on to Canada in the 1950s . He settled in the largest city in Canada, Toronto . There he coached a football team made up of Estonian immigrants, which was named Toronto Kalevi .
