Jalgpalliselts Estonia Tallinn was an Estonian football club from Tallinn . The club have been Estonian champions six times.

Club history

JS Estonia Tallinn was founded in November 1930 and took part in gaming operations the following year. In the second season of its existence, the club rose to the top division and immediately became runner-up behind SK Tallinna Sport . In the following years, the club dominated the championship and was serial champions between 1934 and 1939 with five championship titles in a row. In the last season before the Soviet occupation, the club was again runner-up behind Olümpia Tartu in 1940 . The game was then temporarily suspended during the Second World War , and after winning the championship again in 1943, the club was finally dissolved in 1944.

The formative players in the almost 15-year history of the club include the multiple Estonian national players Martin Jensen , Heinrich Uukkivi , Egon Parbo , Valter Neeris , Nikolai Linberg , Voldemar Peterson , Elmar Saar , Juho Matsalu and Helmuth Räästas . The alleged war criminal Evald Mikson , father of the later Icelandic professional players Jóhannes Eðvaldsson and Atli Eðvaldsson , also played for the club.
