Nikolai Linberg (born March 21, jul. / 3. April  1915 greg. In Tallinn , Governorate of Estonia , † unknown) was an Estonian footballer .

Career

Nikolai Linberg was born in 1915 in Tallinn , the capital of the Estonian Governorate, to Latvian parents. In 1934 he received Estonian citizenship. He started his football career at the age of 17 with a club from Pärnu . From 1934 Linberg played nine years for JS Estonia Tallinn . With this he was six times Estonian champion and at least twice top scorer.

In August 1935, Linberg made his debut in the Estonian national team against Lithuania during the Baltic Cup 1935 . In his first international match, he was also able to score his first goal in the national jersey. A year later he played his second game for Estonia against Latvia in which he was again successful as a goalscorer. Linberg completed the last of his three international matches in June 1938 against Hungary .
