The Meistriliiga 2008 was the 18th season of the highest Estonian football division of men. The season began on March 8th and ended on November 15th, 2008 with the 36th matchday. The defending champion was FC Levadia Tallinn .

The Levadia Tallinn became champion for the third time in a row and for the sixth time . As Estonian champions, Levadia failed in the following Champions League season 2009/10 in the third qualifying round at Debreceni VSC .

JK Vaprus Pärnu went into relegation at the end of the season and had to admit defeat to Paide Linnameeskond after two games due to the away goals rule . The FC TVMK Tallinn was revoked on November 16, 2008 by the Estonian Football Association .
