Indrek Zelinski (born November 13, 1974 in Pärnu ) is a former Estonian football player and current coach . Since 2011 he has been coach of the third team of FC Levadia Tallinn , and since 2012 assistant coach of the first team of FC Levadia Tallinn. On December 1, 2016, he took over the position of national coach of the women's national team in his country .
Club career
His professional career began with the Estonian record champions FC Flora Tallinn , after which he played abroad for five years. He had his most successful time at the Danish first division club Aalborg BK for whom he met 13 times in two seasons. He then played very successfully at FC Levadia Tallinn and was second top scorer in the Meistriliiga in the 2007 season with 22 goals , and in 2009 he ended his career.
National team
Indrek Zelinski was a regular for the Estonian national team for years and has been a member of the “FIFA Hundreds Club” since his 100th international match against Northern Ireland on March 31, 2004 . After a two and a half year international break, he played his 102nd international match on August 22, 2007 in Tallinn against Andorra . Since he scored the winning goal to 2-1 in the 90th minute, Zelinski then decided to end his national team career with this success. With a total of 27 international goals, he is the second most successful goalscorer in the history of the Estonian national team after his long-time strike partner Andres Oper .
Trainer
After working as a club coach, he took over the Estonian women's national football team on December 1, 2016 .
