Marek Lemsalu (born November 24, 1972 in Pärnu ) is a former Estonian football player .

Career

The 1.91 meter tall defender began his career in the 1988/89 season with the Estonian club Pärnu KEK , where he played 29 league games in the season and scored two goals. In 1989 he moved to SK Tallinna Sport for two seasons , a year later to the club Eesti Tööstus , for which Lemsalu was used in a league game. He played 39 league games in the 1990/91 season for MEK Pärnu and scored four goals. His next stop was in 1992 at FC Flora Tallinn , with whom he signed a contract that was valid until 1999. For the 1996/97 season he was awarded to the German second division club 1. FSV Mainz 05 , and in 1998 to FC Kuressaare , for whom he was on the pitch in a league game. In total, he completed 119 league games for Flora Tallinn and scored 17 goals.

In 1999 he moved to the Norwegian club Strømsgodset Toppfotball . In 2000 he signed a contract with JK Tulevik Viljandi , where he played 20 league games and scored six goals. His next stop was in 2001 the club IK Start , for which he played 29 league games and scored two goals. From 2002 to 2005 Lemsalu signed a contract with Bryne FK . His last club was FC Levadia Tallinn , where he played 90 league games and scored 15 goals.

Lemsalu completed 86 games for the Estonian national football team (three goals).
