Meistriliiga 2015

The Meistriliiga was held for the 26th time in 2016 as the highest Estonian football division of men. The Estonian championship, which was officially held as A. Le Coq Premium liiga , began on March 4, 2016 and ended on November 5, 2016 with the 36th matchday. FC Flora Tallinn started the season as defending champions .

Season course

As in the previous season, the league comprised ten teams. The defending champion was FC Flora Tallinn . Direct climbers from the Esiliiga was the JK Tarvas Rakvere . The last starting place was determined in the relegation games in November 2015 between the first division club JK Tammeka Tartu and JK Tallinna Kalev , with last year's first division club winning.

The championship was played in a regular season with two first and two second round matches. Each team competed four times against each other team. The bottom of the table was relegated directly to the second-rate Esiliiga , the penultimate played in the relegation.
