Khthoniik Cerviiks is a Dortmund death metal band that was founded in 2013.
history
The band was founded in the summer of 2013 and consists of the bassist and singer Okkhulus Siirs, the guitarist and singer Khraâl Vri * ïl and the drummer Ohourobohortiik Ssphäross. A first demo was released in the same year , followed by a second one the following year. In 2014, the demo Heptaëdrone was also released via Iron Bonehead Productions . The recordings for this had taken about seven hours. The debut album SeroLogiikal Scars (Vertex of Dementiia) was released via Necroshrine Records in 2015 , before it was released in 2016 by Iron Bonehead Productions.
style
Simon Dümpelmann from Rock Hard felt while listening to the "guitar work with a certain slant" on SeroLogiikal Scars (vertex of Dementiia) of Voivod recalls. In an interview with Dümpelmann, Khraâl Vri * ïl stated that he intended a symbiosis of Black and Death Metal mixed with dissonant riffs in the style of Voivod. Okkhulus Siirs commented on the album that there is no central theme on it. Rather, it is a kind of short story collection about diseases and mental and physical manipulations. The sero scars mentioned in the album title stand “symbolically for the ignored decay of the human gene pole towards excessive, uncontrollable mechanization”. In the same issue, Mandy Malon reviewed the debut album. The dissonant and confused riffs were also noticeable to them. Fast and groovy passages are constantly changing. The whole thing is carried by classic Death Metal.
