The Alka Superliga 2015/16 was the 26th season of the top Danish division in men's football . It started on July 18, 2015 and ended on May 29, 2016. The promoters from the 1st division were Viborg FF from Viborg and Aarhus GF from Aarhus .
The defending champion was FC Midtjylland .
Since January 1, 2015, the league has been sponsored by the Alka Superliga , after the Danish insurance company Alka. The contract runs until mid-2018.

The twelve teams competed against each other in three rounds, so that 33 match days had to be completed. Each team played two home games against the same opponent in one season, but it was ensured that no team had more than 17 home games.
After 33 match days, the champions qualified for participation in the second qualifying round of the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League . The second and third placed competed in the first qualifying round for the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League . The bottom of the table Hobro IK was relegated to the 1st division .
