The 1st Division 2015/16 was the 71st season of the second highest Danish league in football, which was played by the Danish football association Dansk Boldspil Union . The league is played with 12 teams. The season started on July 23, 2015 and ends on May 28, 2016.
At the end of the season, the top three clubs will be promoted, as the Superliga 2016/17 will be increased to 14 teams.
