The Vejle Boldklub ( German  Ballverein von Vejle ) is a Danish football club in the city of Vejle , Region Syddanmark .

history

The club was founded in 1891 as a cricket club . In 1902 the soccer division was added. The originally blue jerseys were replaced by red ones in 1911. In the 2008/09 season Vejle BK played in Denmark's top division, the SAS League ; In eleventh place, he was relegated to the Viasat Sport Division . In their final season (2010/11) the promotion was missed as third. On July 1, 2011, the club was merged with Kolding FC . With that, the first team ceased to exist after 120 years. The new club was named Vejle Boldklub Kolding (Vejle-Kolding) . At the end of 2012, Kolding IF ended their cooperation, so that Vejle has since played with its own first team in what is currently the second highest division of Danish football.

Vejle BK won the Danish championship in 1958, 1971, 1972, 1978 and 1984. In the years 1965, 1974 and 1997 the club was runner-up.
