Henning Enoksen

Henning Enoksen (born September 26, 1935 in Sejerslev auf Mors , † September 25, 2016 ) was a Danish football player and coach .

Career

Between 1958 and 1966 Enoksen scored 29 goals in 54 games for Denmark . His greatest sporting success was winning the silver medal in the football tournament at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome . Among other clubs, he was active for Silkeborg IF , Vejle Boldklub and Aarhus GF .

After his active career, he worked as a trainer in the Danish youth sector, among others.

From July to August 1973 he was the coach of the Icelandic national football team for six games, all of which were lost with a goal difference of 2:22 from an Icelandic point of view . The Icelanders suffered their greatest defeat in the 8-1 defeat against the Netherlands in qualifying for the 1974 World Cup .

Enoksen died on September 25, 2016, just one day before his 81st birthday.
