Kristina Abelli Elander

Kristina Abelli Elander (* 1952 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish artist, above all a painter , comic artist , creator of sculptures and objects made of ceramics and textiles and performance artist . With her works she is u. a. represented in Moderna Museet , Stockholm and Stockholms Läns Landsting , Moderna Museet Malmö , Stenhusgården Norrköping , Sandvikens Konsthall , Sandviken and Göteborgs Konstmuseum .

Elander received her education at the Birkagårdens Art School from 1972 to 1973 and became part of the politicized and feminist art scene in Sweden.

Elander has also made a film about a day of her life: Från morgon till kväll (From morning to evening) and has designed the costumes in several Swedish films. The IMDB lists her as a costume designer for the films Mamma, pappa, barn , (1978), Barnförbjudet (1979), Veckan då Roger dödades (1981), Hammar (1992) and Love and War (2006).
