The Harboe Arena Slagelse is a football stadium in the Danish city Slagelse , Zealand . The sports facility was built in 1927 and is used by the Slagelse Boldklub & Idrætsforening ( German Slagelse football club and sports club , SB&I for short), which held four seasons in the then top division 1st division in the 1970s . In 2008, the football club FC Vestsjælland was founded with the SB&I professional team , which is another team that plays its games in the stadium. For the 2013/14 season , the FCV made the leap into the Danish football club, the super league .
So that first division games can be played in the Slagelse Stadium, the stadium had to be renovated and adapted to the requirements of the DBU . For 38.5 million DKK (around 5.2 million euros), a new covered grandstand was built and a floodlight system was installed. The tier with 1,200 seats is equipped with press and conference rooms, a television studio, a lounge with space for around 450 guests, changing rooms, massage and doping control rooms. The space in the stadium is 10,000, of which 3,200 are seats.
On March 24, 2013, the new spectator rank was ceremoniously opened by Mayor Lis Tribler.
At the end of 2013, the Harboes Bryggeri ( German Harboe Brewery ) acquired the right to name the stadium. Since then, the sports facility has been called Harboe Arena Slagelse .
