The Lyngby Stadion is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Lyngby , capital of the Lyngby-Taarbæk municipality , Denmark . The team from Lyngby BK ( Lyngby Boldklubben af 1921 ) receives its opponents in the sports facility.
history
The stadium, inaugurated in 1949, still has a seating capacity of 9,000 today (1,620 of which are seats). In the 1990s, the capacity was continuously reduced for safety reasons; In 1992 there were 15,000 places available, two years later 13,000 places and in 2000 only 10,000 places. In addition to the roofed main and counter stands, additional steel stands are built for international games. In the curves there are earth walls with stone steps as standing room, which are framed by wide hedges . In 1999 a VIP box area called Juul & Nielsen Lounges was built in the stadium , which offers 220 seats. Today the stadium has 10,000 seats, of which 2,800 are seats.
