Pusic began his career in the youth of First Vienna FC and played for FK Austria Wien from 1998 to 2005 . After returning to Vienna FC, he made his debut in 2005 in the Regionalliga-Ost under coach Franz Weiss . After two years in the regional league, in which he had made a name for himself as a technically adept player, he moved to the first division for ASK Schwadorf in August 2007 .

In his first year, in which there were three coach changes at Schwadorf, he was able to assert himself in the squad that was peppered with former national players. When Schwadorf and VfB Admira Wacker Mödling merged in summer 2008 , he was one of the players who were taken over by the newly founded FC Admira Wacker Mödling . As a result, he played on the left wing under coach Walter Schachner . In the 2008/09 season he played 24 league games in which he scored seven goals. He also reached the Austrian Cup final this year with the team , which was lost 3-1 to FK Austria Wien after extra time .

On August 8, 2010, he signed a new contract with SCR Altach . He was initially committed until winter, but the Vorarlbergers had an option to extend it until summer 2011.

In July 2011 Pusic was signed by Hull City , for which he played three games and prepared a goal. In March 2012 he moved to the Norwegian club Vålerenga Oslo . There he scored three goals in 17 competitive games and prepared two. In August 2012 he moved to relegated Fredrikstad FK . He came to ten missions, scored five goals and gave three assists. In January 2013 he was signed by the Tippeligaen team Brann Bergen and moved to Esbjerg fB in Denmark in early 2014 . In February 2015 he moved to FC Midtjylland .

After Pusic had already been on loan to the Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam since the beginning of 2017 , FC Copenhagen signed him on August 26, 2017 with a contract until the summer of 2018. But six months later, league rival Aarhus GF announced the signing of Pusics during the winter break .

In July 2018, Pusic moved to AC Horsens . After just one game and four days at Horsens, he dissolved his contract with the club.

In September 2018 he returned to Austria and switched to Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg , with whom he received a contract that ran until May 2019. The club stopped playing after the 2019/20 season.
