Miklos Jon Molnar (born June 10, 1970 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish football player . Molnar played from 1987 to 2000 for a total of 11 teams in Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany and the USA, and was a Danish international .

society

He started his career at the Danish club Hvidovre IF . After one season and 31 games, the striker moved to BK Frem , a club in Copenhagen. There he played until 1990 before he moved to Standard Liège in Belgium . In his first season for the Belgians, he scored 11 goals in 26 games, which earned him a nomination for the Danish national team.

In 1991 he moved to Switzerland to Servette Geneva . There he stayed, however, only one season and then played for the French club AS Saint-Étienne . There he could not cope with the tactical system and then moved back to Lyngby BK in Denmark in 1994 . With the constant motivation to want to move abroad again and with the disagreement with the then manager Michael Schäfer, he only played for six months at Lyngby before he moved to FSV Frankfurt in the 2nd Bundesliga in winter 1995 . There he scored 12 goals in 20 games, but could not prevent the club from relegating to the regional league, so he moved back to Denmark after the end of the season. From 1995 to 1997 he played one season with Herfølge BK and then again with Lyngby BK.

In 1997 he moved to Sevilla FC to play in the Spanish Segunda Division, the country's second division. After three years and 16 goals in 44 games, he moved to the USA. For a year he played with the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer. Molnar won the MLS Cup 2000 with Kansas City , scoring the decisive goal for the 1-0 final victory.

National team

He made his first international match in 1990. He played a total of 18 times for the Danes and scored two goals. He also took part in the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championship.
