Ezequiel Oscar Scarione (born July 14, 1985 in José C. Paz , Buenos Aires Province ) is an Argentine football player .

Career

Scarione began his career with Boca Juniors and was appointed to the 1st team in 2005 before moving to Deportivo Cuenca in Ecuador in early 2006 . He left this team in the summer of 2006 and moved to FC Thun in Switzerland. There he was called up for 55 games by the end of 2008 and scored 13 goals. From January 8, 2009 until the end of the second half of the season, Scarione was loaned to the Super League club FC Luzern . There he was set up for 14 league games and also completed the two relegation games against FC Lugano , which FC Luzern was able to win thanks to Scarione (who scored a goal). From the 2009/10 season Scarione played again at FC Thun and scored 18 goals in 28 appearances. During the 2010/11 winter break, Scarione moved to league rivals FC St. Gallen for around 150,000 Swiss francs . With St. Gallen he was relegated at the end of the season. After being promoted again in summer 2012, he was the top scorer in the Raiffeisen Super League with 21 goals the following season.

At the end of June 2013 Scarione left Switzerland and moved to the Turkish first division club Kasımpaşa Istanbul . With this club he scored 40 goals in 94 first division games, making him by far the most successful first division shooter in the club's history.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to the Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv . After 5 goals in 18 league games, he returned to Turkey in the summer of 2017 with his move to the first division promoted Göztepe Izmir . In the 2018/91 winter transfer period, he moved to MKE Ankaragücü within the 1st Turkish league .
