Mahmut Akan (born July 14, 1994 in Keçiören , Ankara ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Akan was born in Keçiören , a district of Ankara , and started playing club football here in the youth of Ankaraspor . After those in charge of this club around Melih Gökçek had also taken over the MKE Ankaragücü club , Akan switched to the youth department of this club. After only a year he returned to Ankaraspor, signed an amateur contract and played for the club's reserve team, for Ankaraspor A2 . With this team he surprisingly won the championship of the reserve team league, the A2 Ligi .

After the professional team Ankaraspors for the season 2013/14 the participation in the second highest Turkish league, in the TFF 1. Lig , attained, Akan was accepted into this team. For the 2013/14 season he was loaned to the third division team Polatlı Bugsaşspor .

For the 2013/14 season he was kept in the squad at Ankaraspor, which changed its name to Osmanlıspor FK in the summer of 2014 .

In the summer of 2016, he and his teammates Ahmet Şahin and Serdar Deliktaş moved to the new first division club Kardemir Karabükspor . After a season he left the club again.
