Keçiören is a district of the Turkish province of Ankara and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi (large city municipality) Ankara . The district is surrounded by the districts of Pursaklar , Altındağ , Yenimahalle and Kazan . Keçiören was split off from Altındağ in 1983 and declared a municipality ( Belediye ).
