Sincan is a city and a district of the Turkish province of Ankara and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi (big city municipality) Ankara . Sincan is located 27 kilometers northwest of the center of the capital. The district borders Ayaş to the west, Polatlı and Yenimahalle to the south, and Etimesgut and Kazan to the east .

At the time of the state founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk ( Republican People's Party CHP), the then village-like settlement took in numerous refugees from Romania (more precisely from the Romanian town of Köseabdi) and Bulgaria . Many of them brought tulip bulbs with them, which is why numerous tulips are still grown in the village today.
