Mehmet Sak (born April 4, 1990 in Konak, Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .
Career
Mehmet Sak started club football at the age of twelve in the youth of his home club Altay Izmir . In the summer of 2006 he received a professional contract from his club, he was accepted into the squad of the reserve team and a short time later got a regular place in the starting lineup. From the 2006/07 season he got the opportunity to train with the professional team. In some professional games he was even taken on as a reserve player in the team squad and was substituted on regularly.
Because his contract with Altay expired at the end of the 2010/11 season, Sak moved to the Süper Lig club Bursaspor during the winter break of the 2010/11 season . Until the end of the season he was here for the professional team and played more for the reserve team. From the 2011/12 season he will be on a regular basis in the professional team.
For the 2012/13 season he was loaned to the second division team Samsunspor . After only half a season, his loan deal was canceled, so he returned to Bursaspor. Returned to Bursaspor, he was loaned to the second division team Göztepe Izmir for the second half of the 2012/13 season.
In the summer of 2013, his contract with Bursaspor was terminated by mutual agreement. After this contract termination, Sak moved to the second division side Bucaspor . After half a season and five competitive appearances, he left this club within the TFF 1st Lig towards Adanaspor .
For the 2016/17 season he moved to the second division club Yeni Malatyaspor . With this club he finished the 2016/17 season as runner-up and rose with him to the Süper Lig. For the 2017/18 season he and his teammate Sedat Ağçay were signed by the new second division club MKE Ankaragücü .
National team
Mehmet Sak took part in the Piestany tournament with the Turkish U-18 junior national team and made three appearances here.
