Marie-Christine Ostermann (born January 7, 1978 in Hamm ) is a German entrepreneur and politician ( FDP ). From 2009 to 2012 she was national chairwoman of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs - BJU .

Life

After training as a bank clerk, Ostermann completed a degree in business administration at the University of St. Gallen , which she graduated with a degree in business administration. She then worked as a division manager at the retailer Aldi Süd.

From 2009 to 2012 Ostermann was the federal chairwoman of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs - BJU. In 2006 she joined the grocery wholesaler Rullko Großeinkauf GmbH & Co. KG as a managing partner and since then has been running the family business together with her father. Rullko supplies large kitchens, especially in hospitals and retirement homes, employs 150 people and has an annual turnover of around 70 million euros. From 2010 to 2013 she was a member of the SME Advisory Board of the Federal Ministry of Economics. She is also a member of the supervisory board of the optician chain Fielmann AG . As a lobbyist, she is a frequent guest on television talk shows and interview partner for television and newspapers, for example in the programs: Das "Duell" on n-tv, Maybrit Illner , Morgenmagazin , ZDF nachtstudio , Forum Wirtschaft (Phoenix), Menschen bei Maischberger , Tacheles and Unter den Linden . She is an opponent of the women's quota .

In May 2012, Ostermann underpinned her critical stance on the euro rescue packages by founding the “Alliance against the ESM ”. With ten members of the Bundestag from the CDU and FDP, she is of the opinion that the euro has a future only with creditors' participation and debt responsibility.

Following the statutes of the Young Entrepreneurs, Ostermann did not stand up for the election of the federal chairman again in 2012, after she had been re-elected in 2010 and 2011. The Bremen entrepreneur Lencke Wischhusen was elected as her successor .

Ostermann has been a member of the FDP since 2013 and was state treasurer of the FDP North Rhine-Westphalia from April 2014 to May 2015 .
