maischberger. die woche (formerly Maischberger and Menschen bei Maischberger ) is a weekly talk show that Sandra Maischberger has hosted since 2003. It is on Wednesdays each week in the First aired.

history

The talk show was produced from September 2003 to December 2015 as the successor to Alfred Biolek's Boulevard Bio under the name Menschen bei Maischberger on Tuesdays at 10:45 p.m. in Cologne (occasionally in Berlin).

On January 13, 2016, the title and slot changed after 475 episodes. Since then, Sandra Maischberger has been speaking and discussing with her guests under the title Maischberger on Wednesday evenings at 10:45 p.m. in the Erste - on Anne Will's previous broadcasting slot . According to ARD, the editorial concept of the show has been changed to include more political issues.

On November 17, 2016, the talk show was produced for the first time in the form of an audience discussion. People from the audience could spontaneously speak out in the program. In addition to invited guests from all over Germany, two politicians were part of the discussion.

On November 21, 2017, an issue of the failed exploratory talks on the formation of a government after the federal election was broadcast on a Tuesday.

Since June 2019, the producers have been experimenting with a weekly review in talk format under the title maischberger. the week (own spelling). The new format differs from the previous concept in that the moderator no longer discusses one topic with the guests , but rather a selection of several current topics. Since October 16, 2019, the program has been permanently switched to the new concept. From March 11, 2020 with maischberger. spot scheduled a variation that is produced in different regions of Germany.

The format is produced by the Berlin company Vincent Berlin GmbH , in which Sandra Maischberger has a stake, on behalf of WDR .

Controversial broadcast
