Ileana Grabitz

Ileana Grabitz (* 1973 ) is a German journalist and head of department at Zeit Online .

Career

Grabitz studied English , Romance studies and German studies at the University of Cologne and completed a postgraduate course in science journalism at the Free University of Berlin . From 2001 to 2002 she volunteered at the Financial Times Deutschland . In 2002 she became a reporter in the corporate department and editor in the comment team of the Financial Times Deutschland . From 2005 to 2014 Grabitz was the business editor of the daily newspaper Die Welt and from 2014 to 2016 deputy head of the investigative team . From 2016 to 2019, together with Olaf Gersemann , she headed the “Economy, Finance & Real Estate” department at the Welt -Group. Since July 2019 she has been head of the "Politics, Economy, Society" department at Zeit Online in Berlin.
