Sarna Röser has been federal chairwoman since March 2018. Sarna Röser is the designated successor of her father Jürgen Röser, who is the managing partner in the family company Zementrohr- und Betonwerke Karl Röser & Sohn GmbH in Mundelsheim, which was founded in 1923. She is u. a. Member of the management of Röser FAM GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned company. Sarna Röser says: “I want to make the voice of young entrepreneurs shine. Education, securing skilled workers, digitization, corporate succession and entrepreneurship are the topics I want to tackle ”.

His predecessors were Lencke Wischhusen (2012–2015) and Marie-Christine Ostermann (2009–2012). The managing director is Albrecht von der Hagen. Positions

  • Founding and innovation: The association advocates a change in the founding climate in Germany. In order to protect young companies from high bureaucratic costs, the association calls for the greatest possible exemption from bureaucratic burdens in the year of foundation and in the following three years, for example through binding information in tax law for newly founded companies. In addition, Die Junge Unternehmer is proposing changes to tax law in order to encourage equity capital formation and strengthen private financing for start-ups. In addition, the association supports the introduction of a special stock exchange segment for young companies in order to make investments in start-ups more attractive for investors.
  • Pension: The association advocates a generation-fair design of the social security systems that adapts to demographic change in Germany. One of the association's proposals is the fixed link between the retirement age and life expectancy. The young entrepreneurs have sharply criticized the pension package of the grand coalition and the burden on future generations due to the pension at 63.
  • Budget: The association advocates a sustainable budget policy at the federal, state and local levels that allows future generations sufficient financial leeway. The demands of the association include a general ban on new borrowing and binding targets for debt reduction. In the summer of 2013, the association started the intergenerational fair tour in seven German cities, where giant seesaws symbolically pointed out the burden on the young generation due to the high national debt and the imbalance of the social security systems.
  • Education: The association wants to strengthen economic education in schools in Germany and therefore calls for a better integration of current entrepreneurial and economic topics in the classroom. One of the demands of the association is the creation of an independent and compulsory school subject “Economics” at all general secondary schools.
  • Europe: The association calls for greater attention to the principle of risk and liability in European politics and advocates subsidiarity. Permanent transfer payments and the communitisation of national debt at European level are strictly rejected. The association described the day of the vote in the Bundestag on the extended rescue package on September 29, 2011 as a black day for German taxpayers and future generations.

Projects

  • Students in the executive chair: The 1980 started training project students in executive chair is intended to give a vivid picture of entrepreneurship and the company's everyday teenagers. It takes place as a competition among high school students. The students accompany an entrepreneur for a day and get to know the typical processes in a company. The students write essays about their practical day, which are evaluated by a regional jury. As part of the Germany - Land of Ideas initiative under the patronage of the Federal President, the project was selected as a Selected Location in 2009 .
  • Seitenwechsel: Since 2007 the association has been organizing the Seitenwechsel project annually to promote the exchange of content between politics and business. Young members of the Bundestag visit young entrepreneurs for one day to get an impression of their operations and the economic processes there. The entrepreneurs also explain to their guests the specific effects of political decisions on operational practice.
  • Clubs: There are three clubs in the association, whose projects and events are aimed at specific groups of people. The founders' club offers seminars and lectures on all relevant start-up topics. The junior club organizes seminar weekends on topics such as leadership, rhetoric or management for the children of family businesses. The successor's club offers exchange opportunities for young people who are already taking on responsibility in the family business.
