Hans-Otto Peters

Hans-Otto Peters (born September 10, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player and soccer coach .

Peters came in 1960 from SC Union Ohligs from the Lower Rhine regional league to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2nd League West. In his second round in Leverkusen, 1961/62, he won the championship with his teammates Manfred Manglitz , Heinz Höher and Uwe Klimaschefski and rose to the football league west . In the last year of the old first-class league, 1962/63 , the climber finished ninth in the west and Peters had scored thirteen goals in 27 missions alongside the newcomers Werner Biskup and Werner Görts . The attacker then stormed the first two rounds in the newly introduced Regional Football League West and scored 35 goals in 68 league games for Leverkusen. During his time at Leverkusen, he played three games for the German U-23 national team, in which he scored 1 goal. The promising offensive player received his first appointment by the DFB as the second league player in the 1961/62 season at the U23 international match against France on May 6, 1962 in Aachen. The two other missions he had in 1963/64 in the first year Regionalliga against Turkey and Czechoslovakia when he was able to score 20 goals for Leverkusen in the season. In 1965, Peters moved to the Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart . After two years he left Stuttgart and moved to Switzerland as a player -coach for FC Biel-Bienne . In the 1968/69 season Peters was top scorer in the National League A with 24 goals. After he gave up the post of player-coach of FC Biel-Bienne in 1970, Peters took this task again from 1973 to 1975. In September 1975, Peters was a player-coach for FC Chiasso for a short time . In the 1977/78 season he contributed 22 goals to the rise of FC Bern from the 1st division to the National League B as the top scorer . After that season, Peters was coach of FC Bern until 1983. Then he was at FC Bulle from the beginning of the 1983/84 season to October 1983 coach.
