Ats Purje (born August 3, 1985 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian football player .
Career
Purje began his professional career at FC Levadia Tallinn, where he was three times Estonian champion and cup winner in five years. In the 2008 season he moved to the Finnish club Inter Turku. With the club he became Finnish champion and league cup winner in 2008. In 2009 he won the Finnish Cup. In 2010 Purje was associated with the North American MLS franchise Real Salt Lake after Joel Lindpere, one of his compatriots, moved to the USA (to the New York Red Bulls ). After his stint at Inter Turku, he was active in Cyprus for almost two years before returning to Finland, where he signed with Kuopion PS in 2012 . In 2015 he moved to FC Nõmme Kalju in Estonia and back to Kuopion PS in 2017.
He made his debut for the Estonia national team on October 11, 2006 against Russia in a UEFA European Championship qualifier. So far, he has made 64 international appearances, scoring nine goals for his country.
