A drainage channel from Hauraton

Hauraton is a Baden-Württemberg manufacturer of drainage elements and one of the global market leaders in rainwater management. The product range includes drainage channels made of concrete and plastic together with associated items such as covers, sump boxes, filter substrates, etc. for use in civil engineering , in gardening and landscaping and in the construction of sports facilities. A particular focus is on sustainable and long-lasting solutions for large-scale projects with specific loads, such as at airports or motorsport tracks. The company's drainage concepts were used in the Luschniki Stadium , on the grounds of the Guayana space center (Ariane 6 launch site ) and in front of the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. The SPORTFIX®CLEAN filter substrate channel, which retains microplastics from artificial turf surfaces, attracted media attention in 2019. The channel system took 1st place in the Baden-Württemberg Environmental Technology Award 2019.

In 1956, the Hauger & Jägel concrete goods factory in Rastatt was founded by Karl Hauger, who had only returned from a prisoner of war seven years earlier. Right from the start, drainage channels were produced from precast concrete parts that were primarily used in agriculture. In the further course of the company's development, the focus was on drainage channels and from the mid-1960s onwards, channels made of particularly resilient concrete were produced that could be exposed to great loads in civil engineering. Since the 1990s, the manufacture of plastic products began to increase. The company's history is shaped by entrepreneurship and inventiveness. For example, the innovative pollutant filter systems for environmentally friendly rainwater treatment are relevant to the industry.

The family entertained in 2018 is headquartered in Rastatt and its production and logistics center in Ötigheim 18 offices in Europe and on the Arabian Peninsula . Further sales offices and trading partners take care of sales in Europe, Asia, North and South America as well as Australia and Oceania.
